This past week has been all about my travel to Upstate New York. Main purpose of my visit being recruiting for Bentley University's Graduate School of Business, I also had the opportunity to walk around and shoot photos for my portfolio.
Landed to Plattsburgh and drove to Canton for about 2 hours and ran into some amazing scenes on the road with farms, silos, cows, Amish folks, and corn fields. Despite the difficulty of pulling on the shoulder and shooting photos, I tried my best to make the best of every moment as seen below :)
For the first two days, I have visited 4 universities in total around the area (St. Lawrence Uni, SUNY Potsdam, Clarkson Uni, SUNY Plattsburgh) Beautiful campuses and really vibrant student community made me feel very welcomed. I come from universities that are in the suburbs and are surrounded by trees so it was an incredible experience to complete my university visits with natural settings.
I chose White Pillar Inn, Canton to stay and it was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had. I was upgraded to a Royal Suite with a King Size bed and an open field view with all sorts of wild/farm animal crossing and a train passing with its loud and proud horn.
On my last day, I had the chance to visit Whiteface Mountain and climbed up to the peak with misty paths and sound of silence by my side.
